Art furniture, Woodveneers Illustrations, Modern Marquetry, Art Nouveau, Marquetry Tarot, Wood Embroidery... a journey into the poetic universe of Mylène Cave, between tradition, spirituality, and new technologies.

How to find a way between traditions and new technologies in craftsmanship? Mylène Cave (La Mylenisterie) offers her perspective by balancing the use of traditional craftsmanship, new technologies (such as laser cutting), and exploring her own techniques to express her art.

"Tradition and new technologies don't have to be enemies; they can be complementary to move in the same direction: creating with current and past means to convey messages and emotions.

A word about the artist: Mylène works with materials. Trained at the Montreal School of Fine Woodworking, she equips herself with tools and patience to make the noble material of wood a vehicle for her spirituality. As a graphic woodworker and modern marquetry artist, she travels the world and explores various disciplines driven by encounters and personal desires. Whether in France, Canada, or Belgium, she is a transformer of materials who ventures into uncharted territories.

Her inspirations draw from Nature, Art Nouveau, feminine worlds, and graphic arts.
